The meeting between Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik was scheduled at 3 pm at Hyderpora, sources said. They said that the leaders had to discuss “future strategy” however authorities did not allow Mirwaiz to move out of his Nigeen residence. “We had to meet at Geelani saheb’s residence but I was not allowed to move out,” Mirwaiz told Rising Kashmir. Sources at Geelani’s residence in Hyderpora told Rising Kashmir that Malik reached there at around 3 pm however police did not allow him to enter. “Malik saheb reached here but police had already erected barricades outside the residence of Geelani saheb and they did not allow him beyond the barricade on the outer road,” Hurriyat Conference (G) sources told Rising Kashmir adding “Geelani’s residence was also locked from outside.” Geelani is undergoing house detention since long while as Mirwaiz was released from Cheshmashahi sub jail last week but placed under house detention at his Nigeen residence. Malik was also released from central jail Srinagar after around four months of detention. The three main separatist leaders are spearheading the ongoing agitation by issuing weekly protest calendars. Sources informed Rising Kashmir that three leaders had to discuss about fresh protest calendar as the last programme is to end on Thursday.
